Weight Loss- What It's All About
I want to make weight loss about something bigger than just looking better, otherwise it's not motivational enough for me. It's about self discipline, holding myself to a higher standard, getting in line with my high power, and showing others my impossible was made possible. Anyone feel me on this?
According to
Psychology Today, weight loss needs to have an underlying motivation that will carry
the participant through to completion. It cannot be superficial, and it helps
to tie it to an
emotion or other significant memory that will help to interfere with those
stubborn binging
tendencies. It is considered to be the single biggest factor in recovery from
binging disorder for
good.
What do you
think about when you want to lose weight? What is an inspirational
message/reminder that has
carried you through to completing a significant goal in the past? The science
of human behavior
tells us that the messages we carry in our heads are what contribute to our
decision making and
overall well being. Let’s make sure that the thoughts that we are listening to
are inspiring us
to do better and be better.
